Like yesterday, we did spend nearly the entire day travelling and so again, most of the photos have been taken out the bus window. But again, the scenery was beautiful and it was more than easy to look at and pass the time.
Although the road was further inland today we did manage to have both of our longer stops, mid-morning and lunch, near the coast.
Then this afternoon we stopped for a while at the site of the My Lai Massacre. For those of you who are interested I'll leave it up to you to do more research about exactly what transpired the day of March 16, 1968 (or feel free to ask and I can tell you more - I've now learned lots!) - needless to say it was not a happy day for the people living in the hamlets of My Lai and My Khe, and not a day that anyone involved with the war is proud of.
Today the site is marked by a museum that houses all the photos taken of the events that day, as well you can see the remains of what was left of many of the homes after the massacre.
And now I'm in Hoi An and I'm going to be here for the next two days so more about Hoi An itself still to come.
