Some more traditional ‘summer’ flowers still to be found, when looking carefully, at the same time, the changing colours of the leaves definitely indicated ‘fall’. As is pretty much my habit now, I spent time this month in both Toronto and Bayfield, as photos will show. The photos don’t do the colours justice - the autumn colours were particularly vibrant this year. They took us by surprise actually - because the leaves started to turn early and we’d not had much rain, we didn’t think the colours would be too wonderful. But then in the last half of the month they just popped!
It doesn’t happen often, but sometimes a sunset in Toronto can be pretty lovely!
An interesting day in Bayfield - a series of rainbows throughout a couple of hours.
Down at the harbour the barge with the tugboat, and the fishing boats are still here and working.
Didn’t think there was going to be a sunset tonight, and then at the last moment this fireball dropped out of the clouds.
A treat this morning - this is the moon setting over the lake, while the sun is rising.

After Thanksgiving and I’m in the lake…sort of. I couldn’t go in any more than this - far too cold.
Another definite sign that summer is over - hardly any boats left in the marina any longer.
And the picnic tables have all been gathered up and stacked.

I went to a new trail in Toronto today - a part of the city I’ve never been to before. Absolutely loved it!! It was a beautiful trail, made even more beautiful on a sunny, Autumn day.
A dull day today, and while I was out walking it occurred to me that it had been many, many years since I had taken a tour of our provincial legislative building…and so I did one today.
No boats left at all now.
Except for the fishing boats - still working.
And so ends October - with Hallowe’en.
