Fabulous Fall Colours - at Mount Pleasant Cemetery (end of week 30)

I thought that before I leave Toronto entirely for this time period I could show off a bit more of our fall foliage with a walk through Mount Pleasant Cemetery.  Way back in the beginning - during Week 4 - I highlighted a bit about Mount Pleasant Cemetery.  Combine the beauty of the place together with the gorgeous fall colours that we’re having this year, and there’s no doubt this is simply a beautiful place to spend time.

Since my last visit here, Mount Pleasant Cemetery has now become the final resting place for Canada’s 17th Prime Minister, John Napier Wyndham Turner, who passed away in September 2020.

On or off the trees the leaves are still lovely...but they do come with the responsibility of raking them, at least at our homes anyway.

These three mausoleums were built into a hill and incorporated into the natural landscape.

The granite mausoleum and crematorium was built in 1920 and this magnificent building features hundreds of crypts of Italian marble and bronze inside and is also home to the most decorated war hero in Canada and the British Empire, William G. Barker.
