April 2022 - at the same time as COVID restrictions continue to be eased, COVID case numbers continue to rise. It does seem however, that overall the illness seems to be less severe for most people and so thankfully our hospitals and health care system aren’t as overwhelmed as they have been in other times during these past two years.
It’s a very late spring for us this year. Flowers are late to bloom and the weather this month has been colder, wetter,…and snowier than usual. Although snow in April is not unusual, to have two significant snowfalls, not just light dusting, is not the norm, and definitely not usual to have one of those snow events be at the very end of the month.
First daffodils I’ve seen in bloom - and it’s April 17th! It’s a very late spring!!
Easter Weekend
And this happened!!! Not okay!!!
All fused together - wood, rocks and sand.
Is this glove giving us the finger?
A little friend who joined me on the beach today.
A cloudy day, but I love the blues.
Although things are very late to bloom this year, towards the end of the month the daffodils have finally come to life. So many different varieties!
And then this happened…at the very end of the month!!
A snow covered picnic table outside the local brewery.
Just like a November day…except it’s the end of April!
I love the delineation between the river water and the lake.
Dropped on the beach - don’t know what type of bird it might be from.
The month might have ended with some very bizarre and unwelcome weather (the snow) but at least there were a few nights with those gorgeous Lake Huron sunsets!
