Things settled down on Tuesday and temperatures FINALLY, were a little bit warmer!! Still not seasonal but at least I didn’t have to wear my winter coat!
Tuesday was also the day when our provincial government announced that students would not be going back to school in June and that remote learning would continue until the end of the school year. So now we know we have 6 more weeks of ‘learning from home’ but there is talk that there might be a plan put in place to allow some access into the buildings so people can get their belongings and things that were simply left there when we finished on March 13th for what normally would have been a one-week holiday! Now this is 10 weeks later - unbelievable!
A day of rain certainly did bring out the blooms!
Although I’ve never planted a tulip in my life these are actually in my gardens!

Finally - the magnolias that weren’t killed by frost are blooming!
We don’t have winds from the east very often, but what’s nice about them is the lovely calm lake that usually accompanies them.

It’s really hard - but can you see the kayaker in this big, big, lake?
Yeah - the park is open!! We still can’t use playground structures but no more caution tape at entrances or around benches and picnic tables.

Not the best year for our magnolia trees. Slow to bud, then frost, and now windy days don’t make it easy for those that did manage to flower.

Can’t tell you how many times I’ve walked past this little tree and just now noticed it’s actually a yellow magnolia...just starting to bloom
