Week 78 began much like week 77 ended…with a magnificent sunset. We had a few throughout these two weeks, but also a few days when it was too hazy (not usual at this time of year) and also a few days of more stormy weather…quite typical as we head into fall.
These clouds immediately preceded a tornado warning! Nothing materialized in my area but about 20kms north they had some very strong, damaging winds, if not actual tornadoes.
Rain, and rainbows, were the name of the game on another day.
You never know what is going to appear on the beach after a stormy day.
I don’t know if this is true or not, but it’s said that when a harsh winter is on the way pine trees produce as many cones as they can. If that’s true Ontario could be in for a rough winter…the number of cones on all the trees this year is very noticeable!
Crocuses??? They’ve definitely got the season wrong!
I like the patterns on this grass.
And I also love the grasses in my garden at this time of year!
My favourite chair…from which I love to watch the day end.
Haze like this is not typical of this time of year!
Our little crayfish friends are back!
Oh look - my favourite chair again!
Both of these wasp nests are in places where their inhabitants didn’t bother us too much…thankfully!
It’s a bit late in the year for roses but it’s lovely to see the ones that are still around.
With each passing day/week you can see more and more signs of fall…
